The First Dental Visit
We recommend that parents bring their child in for their first dental visit by the time they turn one-year old. Receiving a dental visit at this early age helps children to become familiar with the process early within their development. This establishes a foundation of trust and comfort that carries over to future visits.
During the initial visit, parents can use the opportunity to ask questions about their child’s oral hygiene practices. Parents are also provided information regarding teething, cavity prevention, brushing and flossing habits, thumb sucking and more.
